Mr. Heiko Sweeney is entering his 28th year at Akers School. He served 8 years as an 8th grade teacher at Akers teaching science, algebra, coaching sports, and coordinating student body activities. Mr. Sweeney is entering his 20th year as an administrator at Akers. Mr. Sweeney has also served as the Outdoor Education Coordinator and Safety Coordinator for the district.
It is not uncommon to see Mr. Sweeney participating in student activities, hikes, or playing basketball with the students as he enjoys spending as much time with the students as possible. His favorite days are the ones when former students come back to visit him or e-mail him to let them know how they are doing.
Mr. Sweeney has a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies, and a Master of Arts in Educational Administration from National University in Fresno. He also has a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and a Professional Clear Administrative Credential.
Mr. Sweeney lives in Lemoore with his wife of 29 years, Cecilia, and has three daughters---Regina, Taryn, and Janelle. |
