Hello, my name is Mrs. Holmes and I have taught many grades at Akers.  I am a graduate of Fresno State University and attained my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Teaching through Fresno Pacific University. I am proudly celebrating my 17th year of teaching and I look forward to continuing my career in education. I chose to transfer to a physical education position in the middle of the 2019-2020 school year. I have a passion for teaching and learning. I chose to be a teacher because there were teachers who made a difference in my life; I hope to do the same for the students who walk through my door. I look forward to making this a successful year, thank you parents for your dedication and support.

It is my personal goal to ensure all students are taught the standards according to their level of learning, as well as, teach students how to be productive leaders in their community, reflective of their actions and lifelong learners.
