Mrs. Goddard

Hello! I'm Mrs. Goddard, and I'm proud to teach second grade at Akers Elementary. I graduated from California State University, Fresno, and have been teaching for over 27 years. Throughout my career, I have loved helping young learners grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

In my classroom, I believe learning should be engaging, meaningful, and FUN! I believe in creating a positive environment where every child feels safe, valued, and encouraged to do their best. Along with building strong academic skills, I place a strong emphasis on social-emotional learning, helping students develop kindness, responsibility, confidence, and respect for others.

I love to encourage independent learners who are willing to take on challenges, think for themselves, and see things in a whole new way:) I look forward to partnering with families to make this a successful and exciting year of learning and growth! I am looking forward to a new school year and watching my new little learners shine!
