Course Description:
This course is designed to meet the state N.G.S.S. standards and provide a foundation for all students to successfully proceed into any science program. The course emphasizes the Next Generation Science Standards through Amplify Science. This program is located on the Amplify Learning app on the student iPads. The units include Microbiome, Metabolism, Metabolism & Engineering Internship, Traits and Reproduction, Earth's Changing Climate, and Earth's Changing Climate Engineering Internship. Students will experience these topics through, lab experiences, simulations, scientific models, with writing, critical thinking, and seminars. Key concepts are reviewed using the data from the Critical Juncture assessments and the classroom review game Blooket. Courses contain pre and post tests to monitor progress. Standards not mastered on tests are reviewed immediately following the Unit Test.

Student behavior is documented daily on a roll sheet.
•Be prepared & start on time by being in your seat and quiet when the bell rings.
•Participate in your group Pair-Share time and all classroom activities.
•Allow others to learn by being respectful and staying quiet the entire class period.
•Raise your hand if you need help.
•Complete all assignments by the due date.
