Heiko Sweeney Principal  
Mr. Heiko Sweeney is entering his 20th year at Akers School. He served 8 years as an 8th grade teacher at Akers teaching science, algebra, coaching sports, and coordinating student body activities. Mr. Sweeney is entering his 12th year as an administrator at Akers. Mr. Sweeney has also served as the Outdoor Education Coordinator and Safety Coordinator for the district.

It is not uncommon to see Mr. Sweeney participating in student activities, hikes, or playing basketball with the students as he enjoys spending as much time with the students as possible. His favorite days are the ones when former students come back to visit him or e-mail him to let them know how they are doing.

Mr. Sweeney has a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies, and a Master of Arts in Educational Administration from National University in Fresno. He also has a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and a Professional Clear Administrative Credential.

Mr. Sweeney lives in Lemoore with his wife of 21 years, Cecilia, and his three daughters---Regina, Taryn, and Janelle.

Christina Gonzales
Assistant Principal  
Mrs. Christina Gonzales has been employed with the Central Elementary School District since 1996. She began her career as a classroom teacher, and for fifteen years she taught various grade levels ranging from first grade through junior high math. In 2011, Mrs. Gonzales began her tenure as an Assistant Principal, and she was assigned to the Central Elementary School campus for six years.

Mrs. Gonzales is a former student and graduate of Akers Elementary School, and she is excited to take on a new role as the Assistant Principal of the Akers School campus. Mrs. Gonzales was raised in a military family, and she understands first-hand the unique challenges that are faced by military children. Mrs. Gonzales looks forward to creating a positive school experience for ALL students enrolled on the Akers School campus.

Mrs. Gonzales possesses a Bachelors Degree in Social Science with an emphasis in Psychology, a Masters Degree in Education Curriculum and Instruction, a Professional Clear Administrative Credential, a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, and a BCLAD (Bilingual Crosscultural Language in Academic Development) Credential. She currently resides in Lemoore with her husband, Jess, and her son, Jakob.
