Heiko Sweeney Principal  
Mr. Heiko Sweeney is entering his 20th year at Akers School. He served 8 years as an 8th grade teacher at Akers teaching science, algebra, coaching sports, and coordinating student body activities. Mr. Sweeney is entering his 12th year as an administrator at Akers. Mr. Sweeney has also served as the Outdoor Education Coordinator and Safety Coordinator for the district.

It is not uncommon to see Mr. Sweeney participating in student activities, hikes, or playing basketball with the students as he enjoys spending as much time with the students as possible. His favorite days are the ones when former students come back to visit him or e-mail him to let them know how they are doing.

Mr. Sweeney has a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies, and a Master of Arts in Educational Administration from National University in Fresno. He also has a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and a Professional Clear Administrative Credential.

Mr. Sweeney lives in Lemoore with his wife of 21 years, Cecilia, and his three daughters---Regina, Taryn, and Janelle.

Anne Gonzales
Assistant Principal  
Mrs. Anne Gonzales has been with Central Union School District since 2005 and has served as an assistant principal at Central, Stratford, and Neutra school sites. Beginning the 2016 school year, Mrs. Gonzales now serves as the assistant principal at Akers School. Prior to this recent assignment Mrs. Gonzales served as the Transition Specialist under the Department of Defense Education Activity Grant (DoDEA) awarded to the District in 2010.

Mrs. Gonzales was born and raised in Fresno, California. Currently, she resides in Fresno with her husband Mark of 28 years. She has three daughters, two grandsons and one granddaughter.

Mrs. Gonzales is a graduate of California State University, Fresno where she earned a Master's Degree in Education, Administration and Supervision (2005), a Master's Degree in Social Work (1997), and a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work (1995).
