Dear Families and Community,

Central Union School District will return to school on August 12, 2020.  The goal is to return in a Traditional Model.  This is the plan and approach.  While the District is still working through how this will ‘look’, and uncertainties surround how this approach will look as far as face coverings, recesses, lunchtime, physical education, extra-curricular activities, athletics, physical distancing and the like, what is known is the goal to open in a Traditional Model with students in school every day and with their teacher(s)!  There are changes everyday, but the focus is to bring our students back to the school campus.

Families have expressed their desire to return to school in the fall as well.  The District heard from over 700 families who have expressed the desire to come back to school in the fall.  From that survey, the results show that the desire is for students to be back on campus.

Knowing that students learn best in this setting, the District goal is to return students to campus, with safety continuing to be a top priority.  As a District, along with all Districts in our County, we are closely partnering with our County Public Health Department in this opening and reintroduction of our students and staff.

There will be more to come on this portion of our website in the coming weeks as our plans continue to develop, and we appreciate your partnership with our coming school year.

All the Best.
